More talk of the touted 2004 revival of classic 1937 musical comedy Me and My Girl (See The Goss, 26 Aug 2003). According to Variety, the show will move into the West End's New London theatre next May and will following the ticket inflation trend with a top price of £50. The new £2.7 million production will be produced by Alex Armitage, son of the late Richard Armitage, who was behind the award-winning 1985 retread which famously starred Robert Lindsay as cockney millionaire heir Bill Snibson with Emma Thompson as "his girl" Emma Thompson. There's no news yet on a new leading man, though a creative team is now in place. Rachel Kavanaugh will direct, with design by Peter McKintosh and choreography by Stephen Mear.
