British musical theatre duo George Stiles and Anthony Drewe will premiere their new show Soho Cinders at the West End's Queen's Theatre in a special one-off charity concert on Sunday 9 October 2011.

Whatsonstage.com are proud to be media partners of the event, which will see stars including Hannah Waddingham, Sandi Toksvig, David Bedella, Beverly Rudd, Sharon D Clarke, Clive Carter, Michael Xavier and Amy Lennox help raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

A modern musical fable, Soho Cinders is a satirical comedy with a story centred around the complicated love life of prospective Mayoral candidate James Prince, his fiancée and his law-student lover, Robbie - who's paying his college bills in a somewhat unorthodox way.

The show, which is billed as "Cinderella remixed", will be directed by Jonathan Butterell with choreography by Drew McConie.

Stiles and Drewe recently celebrated 28 years of writing together. Their musicals include Betty Blue Eyes, which debuted at the West End's Novello Theatre in April 2011; an adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling stories Just So; a musical adaptation of JM Barrie's Peter Pan; and their malicious new musical comedy Soap Dish.

They also wrote the new songs for the Cameron Mackintosh and Disney stage adaptation of Mary Poppins which is now in its fifth year on Broadway. Their Olivier Award-winning musical Honk! has received almost 8,000 productions worldwide.

The one-off concert had been scheduled to take place at the West End's Novello Theatre but has moved venues to the Queen's Theatre following news that Betty Blue Eyes will end its West End run on 24 September 2011 after six months.
