1st Night Photos: Peters & West Open Crucible Othello

The Wire stars Clarke Peters and Dominic West are reunited on stage in the Sheffield Theatre’s production of Othello which opened at the Crucible last night (20 September, previews from 15 September 2011).

Helmed by Sheffield Theatres’ artistic director Daniel Evans, the production also stars founding artistic director of the Crucible Colin George as Brabantio and Gratiano. The cast also includes Ian Barritt, Alexandra Gilbreath, Lily James, Gwilym Lee, Leigh McDonald, Rhodri Miles and Brodie Ross.

Othello is designed by Morgan Large with lighting design by Lucy Carter and sound design by Alex Baranowski.

The cast and crew were joined to celebrate their opening night by guests including Ian Gelder, Emma Hamilton, Matt Barber, Imogen Kinchin, Adam Speers, Barbara Flynn, Paul Miller, Oliver Watton, Gavin Plumley, Claire Price, Hugh Ross, Amy Humphreys, Nicola Harrison, Martin Hutson, Mark Rubinstein, Julian Bird and Joseph Drake.
