Karimloo Leaves LND in March for Toronto & NYC???

Andrew Lloyd Webber has revealed Australia and Toronto, not New York, will be next in line to receive productions of Phantom sequel Love Never Dies. Speaking on ITV1’s Michael Ball Show on Friday (10 September 2010) Lloyd Webber did not reveal dates or timescales for the productions, but he did go on to admit he didn’t think the freaks, oddities and strangeness of Coney Island had been done completely right in the London show. The Toronto production will now be redesigned by The Sound of Music, and soon-to-be Wizard of Oz, designer Rob Jones before making its way to Broadway. In related news, Love Never Dies star Ramin Karimloo has revealed to fans on his Twitter account that he will be leaving the London production in March and undertaking other projects before rejoining the show in Toronto and New York. Karimloo, who previously played the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, originated the role in the squeal, which opened at London’s Adelphi Theatre on 9 March 2010 (previews from 22 February).
