In the latest Radio podcast, Roger Foss meets Hollywood star Christian Slater for a special in-depth interview as he returns to the West End stage to play Buddy Ackerman, the Hollywood producer from hell, in the world premiere of Michael Lesslie’s stage version of the 1994 movie Swimming with Sharks.

Slater talks candidly about the challenge of taking on a role created in the film by Kevin Spacey, his own experience of swimming alongside powerful movie moguls, the dangers of developing a Hollywood ego and the lure of the West End stage after his previous Award-winning success playing Randle P McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Swimming with Sharks opens for a limited 15-week season at the Vaudeville Theatre on 16 October 2007 (previews from 5 October). It’s adapted by UK playwright and screenwriter Michael Lesslie. The premiere production is directed by Wilson Milam and also stars Helen Baxendale and Matt Smith.
