German author Marius von Mayenburg’s play revolves around an ugly man who learns, after extensive plastic surgery, that there is such a thing as too beautiful. (We trust that Brosnan has never suffered so?) Our Royal Court mole tells us Brosnan loved the play, hanging around to compliment the cast – including Amanda Drew, Michael Gould and Frank McCusker – in the theatre bar after the performance. He exited just before the herd of the Rhinoceros’ first-nighters stampeded the place after their two-and-a-half hour show.
