All going to plan, Bill Bryden’s revival of Pauline Macauley’s 1964 play The Creeper will be creeping into the West End later this year (See The Goss, 3 May 2005). RSC stage veteran Ian Richardson stars in the psychological thriller about a young opportunist who inveigles his way into the home of an eccentric member of the landed gentry. After initial dates at the Theatre Royal Windsor, the production is in Guildford this week and Bath next week, prior to the hoped-for transfer.
