Genital Origami

By • West End
I suspect that Frank Skinner will be dining out on the story for years to come. His theatrical West End debut in Cooking with Elvis is to be replaced at the Whitehall Theatre by a penis in the shape of a hamburger. Puppetry of the Penis will take over on September 20 from the Lee Hall comedy which closes September 16, and features Australians Simon Morley and David Friend. The spectacle of the Antipodean genitals being moulded to resemble a hamburger, a windsurfer, the Loch Ness Monster and a slowly emerging mollusc is aided and abetted by a giant screen. The show first appeared at the Melbourne Comedy Festival in 1998 and went on to a sell-out season in Sydney and a national tour of Australia before appearing at the Edinburgh Festival this summer.
