The musical version of Back To The Future has hit problems following the departure of director Jamie Lloyd from the project.
According to the Daily Mail, Lloyd has withdrawn following creative differences with the show's creator Bob Gale, who co-wrote all three instalments of the Back to the Future film series.
Gale and co-creator Robert Zemeckis will now look for another director for the project, but the Mail's Baz Bamigboye speculates the show - which was rumoured to be earmarked for the Dominion Theatre - will not now be ready until "at least 2016".
Lloyd, whose West End credits include The Commitments and upcoming Urinetown, commented that he wanted to "stand by my vision" of Back to the Future. "You absolutely have to believe in it or there's not much point," he added.
He had previously said he wanted the show to involve skateboarding and "illusions".
