The Lincoln Center's Tony Award-winning revival of South Pacific opened at the Barbican Centre last night (23 August, previews from 15 August), where it docks for a seven-week season (to 1 October) as part of a national tour.

EastEnders star Samantha Womack returns to the stage for the first time since Michael Grandage's 2005 production of Guys and Dolls playing nurse Nellie Forbush, and she's joined by Tony Award winner Paulo Szot reprising his Broadway performance as Emile de Becque in Bartlett Sher's production.
