And finally from the wonderfully quirky world of the Edinburgh Fringe, an outsized outtake which we particularly enjoy. The generously proportioned Canadian actor-comedian Mike McShane, best known in the UK for his appearances on TV improv show Whose Line Is It Anyway?, has caused some distress for the producers of Fatboy at the Assembly Rooms. Earlier this year, McShane underwent a stomach stapling operation that has left him nine stone lighter. Apparently, when McShane showed up in Edinburgh for Edinburgh, producers failed to recognise the now 20-stone actor. They designed a special super-size fatsuit for him to play the title character, who is meant to be a metaphor for American greed.
