Soho Theatre looks to be filling its autumn schedule with the cream of the crop from Edinburgh. Both Thom Pain (based on nothing) and Private Peaceful transfer to the London theatre next month (See News, 19 Aug 2004), after which How to Act Around Cops looks set for a limited season. The American black comedy, written by Logan Brown with Matthew Benjamin (who also stars), is currently playing to packed houses at the Pleasance in Edinburgh. It’s produced in the UK by Chantal Arts + Theatre, which is also behind the European premiere of Thom Pain. Both plays have already won Fringe Firsts at the festival.
