Yasmina Reza's Life x 3 could be heading back into the West End. In the play by the French author of The Unexpected Man and long-runner Art (still running at the Whitehall Theatre), cruel observations about personal intimacies and private longings blend with high comedy at a dinner party where three, very different, outcomes are imagined. Life x 3 received its UK premiere, starring Mark Rylance and Harriet Walter, at the National Theatre in December 2000 before transferring to the West End. A new production, first seen at Birmingham Rep, has been touring the country since September 2001. Once again directed by Matthew Warchus, it stars David Haig, Belinda Lang, David Yelland and Serena Evans and is produced by David Pugh.
