Lucy Bailey steps down as Print Room co-artistic director

Lucy Bailey is stepping down as co-artistic director of The Print Room in Notting Hill.

Bailey co-founded the self-funded venue in 2010 with Anda Winters, who will continue as sole artistic director.

According to a press statement, “The Print Room and its board of directors warmly acknowledge and gratefully thank Lucy Bailey for her commitment, hard work and superb productions which have in no small measure put The Print Room on the map and wish her all the best for the future.”

The 80-seat theatre is situated in a newly renovated 1950’s warehouse on
Hereford Road and has become known for showcasing lesser-known works by
famous authors.

Bailey’s productions there include Alan Ayckbourn’s Snake in the Grass, Tennessee Williams’ Kingdom of Earth and Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya.

Her many other credits include Timon of Athens and Titus Andronicus at the Globe, Lady From the Sea at the Birmingham Rep, The Night Season at the National, Julius Ceasar for the RSC and Private Lives at Hampstead Theatre.
