WOS TV: Can We Bear Edinburgh Without Barbershopera?

Bad news for a cappella fans: Barbershopera, the multi award-winning
musical comedy quartet that’s become a popular staple at the
Edinburgh Fringe over the past four years, won’t be performing
at this year’s festival.

But before you start weeping into
your Frosties, check out their hysterical new video on the subject of
their festival absence: “Edinburgh (Not Gonna Go)”.
If you enjoyed Barbershopera’s Royal Wedding pisstake,
“I Could Have Married Kate”, you’ll really love this – especially if you know anything about the Edinburgh experience…

On
the inspiration for the new video number, sure to become another viral
hit, songrwriter and quartet member Rob Castell said:
“It’s sad not to be going (to the festival) and I
suppose we wanted to somehow be a part of the Fringe without actually
being there… It’s a tribute to how much the fringe
can be the centre of your universe as an emerging group, but it also
seems right to have some fun with how ridiculous the festival can
be.”
