Daisy, Daisy TV mockumentary maker Daisy Donovan is expected to make her West End debut this autumn, starring alongside Alison Steadman and Philip Jackson in Debbie Issitt's The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband. The comedy, due to be directed by the author, is about a middle-aged man (Jackson) who deserts his wife (Steadman) for a younger woman (Donovan). Best known as a comedienne and presenter whose other TV credits include The 11 O'clock Show, Donovan trained as an actress at LAMDA. Her previous stage acting credits include Tom Stoppard's On the Razzle at last year's Chichester Festival. Issitt's play is being co-produced in the West End by ATG, Clear Channel Entertainment and pantomime specialists Qdos. Venue and dates have not yet been confirmed.
