Angelina Jolie, who plays video game adventurer Lara Croft in the hit film Tomb Raider, is rumoured to be heading for the London stage. The 24-year-old Californian is tipped to be playing Ophelia in a production of Hamlet to be directed by her brother James Voigt. This would represent a major theatre debut for the daughter of actor and director Jon Voigt, although she has already bagged a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Girl, Interrupted. After training at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and with the MET Theatre Ensemble, the actress later attended film classes at New York University. It would also seem that Jolie is no stranger to classic theatre scripts; she has a tattoo of the Tennessee Williams quote, "A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages", on her left forearm.
