Rosalie Craig is to play Sylvia in the world premiere of Finding Neverland at the Curve Theatre, Leicester. The production, a musical adaptation of the Oscar-winning 2004 film about the creator of Peter Pan, J M Barrie, runs from 22 September to 18 October.

As previously announced, Julian Ovenden will play Barrie, with Craig as the mother of the Llewelyn Davies boys, who inspired the author to write his classic stories. There were rumours that Gwyneth Paltrow was in talks for the role, which Kate Winslet played in the film, opposite Johnny Depp as Barrie.

Craig is currently starring as the Mother in Ragtime at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre. The actor recently appeared in London Road at the National Theatre and Swallows and Amazons at the Bristol Old Vic.

Finding Neverland will be directed by Rob Ashford and produced by Harvey Weinstein and Victoria Parker. The cast includes Oliver Boot, Norman Bowman, Clare Foster, Vince Leigh, Stuart Neal, and Liz Robertson.
