Will Corden Serve Two Guvnors in the West End???

One Man, Two Guvnors, James Corden‘s triumphant return to the National Theatre opened last week (24 May, previews 17 May 2011), our own chief critic Michael Coveney going so far as to say that “for as long as Corden can stay in the production, this is certain to become one of the biggest hits in the National’s history”. Basking in glowing notices, the National has pulled forwards the closing of Clifford OdetsRocket to the Moon from 21 to 9 June 2011 allowing Richard Bean‘s take on The Servant of Two Masters more dates in the NT Lyttelton prior to its national tour. News now reaches Whatsonstage.com that One Man, Two Guvnors could follow the National’s War Horse into the West End, with the cast told to expect Nicholas Hytner‘s production to return to London as soon as a week after its Edinburgh dates.

The play travels to Aylesbury, Plymouth, Salford and Birmingham prior to its Scottish engagement, on the road from 27 September to 29 October 2011.
