Ghost Stories Continues to 16 Jul at Duke of York’s

Ghost Stories, which had previously announced it would end its West End run at the Duke of Yorks on 19 June, has today (3 June 2011) announced it will extend booking to 16 July due to increased audience demand. The show had originally been booking through to 2 October 2011.

Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson‘s theatrical thriller was originally co-produced by the Lyric Hammersmith with the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse where it premiered in February 2010. The play opened in the West End on 13 July 2010 (previews from 25 June).

The 80-minute piece is billed as a “truly terrifying theatrical experience” and carries a warning that it is unsuitable for anyone under the age of 16. The thriller also recently transferred to Canada, opening at Toronto’s Panasonic Theatre on 1 April 2011.

The West End production currently stars John Lightbody, David Cardy, Ryan Gage and Andy Nyman who also directs. The production is also directed by Jeremy Dyson and Sean Holmes with design by Jon Bausor and lighting design by James Farncombe – winner of this year’s Whatsonstage.com Award. It is produced in the West End by the Lyric Hammersmith and Phil McIntyre Entertainments.
