1st Night Photos: Fiennes Stage Return at the Bush

Screen star Joseph Fiennes, brother of Ralph, returned to the stage last night (16 June 2008, previews from 11 June) to star in the UK premiere of 2,000 Feet Away, Anthony Weigh’s new play about dealing with paedophiles, which runs until 12 July at the 81-seat Bush Theatre in west London (See News, 9 May 2008).

In Eldon, Iowa, a tiny community in the American heartland with a high concentration of sex offenders, the deputy sheriff (Fiennes) must enforce a new law banning them from living within 2,000 feet of anywhere children may gather. When the deputy has to evict his neighbour’s son AG, the new law hits home.
