Following on from its successful Avenue Q midnight matinee in January, HIV and AIDS charity Theatrecares (formerly West End Cares) is presenting a special performance of Little Shop of Horrors at the West End’s Duke of York’s theatre this coming Monday, 11 June 2007. Performers, technicians and theatre staff have all agreed to provide this extra performance for free, with all proceeds going to Theatrecares’ efforts in supporting people and communities living with HIV and AIDS.

Chairman of Theatrecares, which works in partnership with Crusaid, David Pendlebury, commented: “We are thoroughly grateful to all involved with Little Shop of Horrors for agreeing to perform this special show. The atmosphere at these Midnight Matinees is always electric, and this next one is bound to be no exception. We're all really looking forward to what will undoubtedly be a unique experience.” The Menier Chocolate Factory’s Award-winning revival of Alan Menken’s sci-fi musical spoof stars Sheridan Smith, Paul Keating, Barry James, Mike McShane and Alistair McGowan. Tickets for the midnight matinee can be booked online at the theatre website or by calling the box office on 0870 060 6623.
