Saturday evening’s performance of Into the Woods at the Royal Opera House’s 400-seat Linbury Studio was halted when, after the day’s downpour, flooding wreaked havoc backstage. An ROH spokesperson told Whatsonstage.com that this evening’s performance would go ahead as planned. Theatregoers from Saturday’s performance have been given full refunds. Unfortunately, there won’t be another chance for them to see the show in London.

The rest of the limited London season, which finishes this Saturday 30 June, is completely sold out. Into the Woods then heads to The Lowry in Manchester from 4 to 7 July. Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s 1989 alternative fairy tale is directed by Will Tuckett and stars Clive Rowe, Anna Francolini, Beverley Klein and Anne Reid.
