Two Trafalgar Name Stakes???

By • West End
Speaking of the newly launched Trafalgar Studios, on the site of the former Whitehall Theatre, we’re happy to report that a whole lot of confusion has been narrowly avoided. Apparently, the Players’ Theatre - located a stone’s throw away, under the arches at Charing Cross – was considering renaming itself the Trafalgar Theatre. Instead, when it relaunches next month, after a two-year closure, with the 21st anniversary production of Snoopy - The Musical (See News, 8 Jun 2004), it will, more sensibly and simply, be known as the New Players’ Theatre.
