Following the success of last month's Open Day (See The Goss, 13 May 2003) - for which 10,000 people visit the Royal Shakespeare Company's Stratford-upon-Avon home - the RSC today (24 June 2003) launches Theatrefair'03. The five-day festival, which continues to 28 June and comprises more than 25 individual events, gives the public another opportunity to find out what makes the RSC one of the best-known theatre companies in the world. Activities include make-up, set design and stage combat demonstrations, theatre games and storytelling, character development workshops with RSC movement director and choreographer Struan Leslie, and talks and readings from actors in the current Stratford season. Some events are free while cost between £2 and £3. For further information, visit the RSC website.
