1st Night Photos: Rupert Goold celebrates Chimerica opening
Guests including Rupert Goold, who is soon to become artistic director of the Almeida Theatre, were among those celebrating the opening of Chimerica at the Islington venue last night (28 May 13).
Lucy Kirkwood’s new play is directed by Lyndsey Turner in a co-production with Headlong, and follows the aftermath of the famous 1989 Tiananmen Square photo and the journalist who took it.
With a cast including Claudie Blakley, Stepen Campbell Moore and Sean Gilder, Chimerica runs at the Almeida Theatre until 6 July 2013.
Other guests at the first night party included actresses Kate Fleetwood and Claire Foy.
