1st Night Photos: A host of stars see Orton’s Butler
Joe Orton’s 1969 farce What the Butler Saw has returned to the West End courtesy of director Sean Foley (The Ladykillers), opening to press at the Vaudeville Theatre last night (16 May 2012, previews from 4 May).
Starring Tim McInnerny, Samantha Bond, Georgia Moffett and Omid Djalili, the production will play a strictly limited season to 25 August 2012.
A host of actors and comics including David Baddiel, Lenny Henry, Reece Shearsmith, Jim Broadbent, Alistair McGowan, Alexei Sayle and Arabella Weir attended last night’s aftershow party, held at the Waldorf Hilton, along with the playwright’s sister Leonie Orton-Barnett.
