Peter Pan to Fly into The Leicester Curve This Christmas???

An exciting new musical version of J.M. Barrie’s classic tale could be heading to the Leicester Curve in December for a run over Christmas.

Whilst retaining the comedic element, this new reworking of the story takes a step back from the traditional pantomime style that has become so prevalent. The show will hope to work with the Curve’s state of the art technical facilities; providing not only family entertainment but adding an extra sense of magic to the show.

If rumours are to be believed, the role of Captain Hook could be played by Russ Abbott, who most recently took on the role of Fagin in Oliver! in Rowan Atkinson’s absence.

The boy who never grows up seems to be high demand at the moment, not only showing at Kensington Gardens until the 31st August but also possibly looking to open again in a new location before the end of the year (See Goss, 30 June 2009).
