A play that follows Kurt Cobain in the last few hours of his life could be hitting the West End within the next couple of months.

Written by Tim Stark, Kurt & Sid has the ghost of Sid Vicious from the Sex Pistols visit Kurt Cobain as his thoughts turns to suicide through his heroin addiction and trying to cope with the extremity of his fame. Whether Sid is a ghost, an impersonator or an effect of the drugs, the two argue over the futility of rock and roll, self-destruction, addiction and the terrible price of fame.

Rumour has it that Shaun Evans and Danny Dyer have landed the roles of Kurt and Sid respectively. Both actors are well known for their roles in gritty British films; if these whispers are true it will be bringing together two illustrious British actors in what sounds like perfect casting.

Apparently the Trafalgar Studios will be hosting the show from September; with the hope of an eventual West End transfer.
