April De Angelis' new play Amongst Friends received its world premiere at the Hampstead Theatre last night (26 May 2009), starring an accomplished cast of Helen Baxendale, James Dreyfus, Aden Gillett, Vicki Pepperdine and Emma Cunniffe.

The play, billed as a “darkly comic social satire”, has a limited run to 13 June as part of the Hampstead's 50th anniversary season, and is directed by the venue's artistic director Anthony Clark.

When the security system fails the food for dinner is delivered by a stranger and the dinner party takes quite a different turn…
