A power cut last night in the West End nixed some theatregoers' plans. But those attending The Bomb-itty of Errors didn't leave wholly disappointed. In addition to getting a refund on their tickets, they were entertained by the five-strong cast who came outside the New Ambassadors Theatre to give a free performance of the show's energetic rap prologue. Apparently, the audience loved it. Given that the hip-hop musical version of Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors owes so much to New York's urban street culture (See News, 7 May 2003), it seems appropriate that it should proved such a hit on the streets of London as well.
