Live Stream & Tweets: WOS at West End Eurovision 2012

Sequins, spandex and glitter balls at the ready! It’s time for West End Eurovision 2012, the charity fundraiser that sees West End casts performing Eurovision classics in aid of TheatreMAD (The Make a Different Trust – a former adopted charity of the Whatsonstage.com Awards).

And this year, for the first time, you can watch the event – which takes place from 11.30pm at the Dominion Theatre – live on Whatsonstage.com, thanks to our live streaming partners Kinura.

We’ll also be live-tweeting the events using the hashtag #westendeurovision – so get involved and follow the coverage in the CoverItLive box below!

West End Eurovision 2012 will be hosted by television and radio presenter Gaby Roslin and star of EastEnders John Partridge. Back stage hosts will include Heart FM’s Toby Anstis and ITV’s Show me the Funny’s Kate Copstick.

In addition, there will be a one off “extravaganza of a performance” by Javine Hylton, as she reprises her 2005 UK entry, “Touch My Fire”.

Audience members will be treated to unique, fully staged Eurovision entries performed by the London West End casts of: Billy Elliot, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia!, Phantom of the Opera, Rock of Ages, Shrek, Sweeney Todd, The 39 Steps, The Wizard of Oz and Wicked.

Each show will perform a number as well as having filmed a fun 75-second ident film, to win an award for the best creative idea. All of these can be seen at madtrust.org.uk where the public can vote on their favourite until 6pm on 26th April by sending a £1 text, all proceeds to The Make A Difference Trusts’ charitable work.
