Stephen Fry Gets ‘Wowsered’ by West End???

The West End has found itself a new champion in the form of comedian, writer, presenter and twitterer Stephen Fry. Writing on his personal blog recently, Fry admits to having spent a “a large part of my life thinking that perhaps they (musicals) just weren’t my kind of thing”, despite having enjoyed early success after updating the book of Me and My Girl. But the QI host says he has recently undergone a conversion, having been “wowsered” by the likes of Legally Blonde, Avenue Q and Betty Blue Eyes. So much so that he’s hosting a celebration of British musicals at the Criterion Theatre on 10 April in aid of Perfect Pitch (supported for the fourth year by Whatsonstage.com) – “you will be happy to know that I have agreed not to sing a note or dance a step”, he adds.
