As the onscreen dramas unfold on Over the Rainbow, with favourites landing in the sing off and a variety of hopeful Totos stealing each others’ Bonios, here we can take a sneaky look behind the scenes and see what The Lord and Graham Norton get up to off-camera. As the series rolls on, be sure to expect some more upsets as the public continue to defy the panel in choosing their perfect Dorothy.
– Part We Will Rock You and part Tommy, with flashes of political nuance and three walls of television screens, the latest ‘on trend’ show to hit Broadway is Green Day’s American Idiot. Billed as a ‘rock opera’ and set in a post 9/11 world where a group of young people aim to seek out how best to move forward in this new media-ruled environment, despite reading every synopsis and review available, I’m still yet to discover what the show is actually about! However, it certainly packs a punch and will no doubt provide some interesting variety across the pond.
– After a failed attempt to tour last year, it’s wonderful to see Spamalot finally hitting the road, albeit a brand new production, said to be going back to the more traditional Python roots. With the public’s favourite Jodie Prenger signed on to play The Lady of the Lake at certain venues, it’s sure to prove one for all and definitely all for one as crowds across the country bring out their dead and fetchez la vache! Here’s the teaser trailer.
