I Sing! - an Off-Broadway musical from the team behind the hit The Musical of Musicals (The Musical), currently receiving its London premiere at the Sound Theatre (See News, 8 Mar 2006) - is tipped to transfer to the West End following its British premiere at the Cardiff International Musical Festival this autumn (See News, 5 Apr 2006). The New York-based York Theatre Company's show - written by twentysomethings Eli Bolin, Sam Forman and Benjamin Salka about coming of age in romance and life - was produced Off-Broadway in 2001 and had a revised concert version at the York in October 2002. The York Theatre Company — billed as the place "Where Musicals Come to Life" — produces both old and new musicals at its base in Saint Peter's Theatre at 54th and Lexington in New York City.
