The Main Event - a bio-musical about super-smooth Rat Pack crooner Frank Sinatra - is causing a stir stateside for a few reasons. Apparently, the late singer's family are none too keen on the "warts and all" approach, which revisits rumours about connections to the Mafia, the Kennedys as well as his string of affairs. What's more distressing for Ol' Blue Eyes' fans, however, is the fact that the American legend is being played by a Brit. Stephen Triffit, a former photocopier salesman from Weston-super-Mare, was discovered after coming second in UK TV's Stars in Their Eyes. It's said that his voice is spookily similar to a young Sinatra. The Main Event has just opened in Las Vegas, at the Venetian Casino. Producers are hoping to bring it to the UK in the future, when Triffit's compatriots' can pass their own judgment.
