Arends’ Something Very Far Away returns to Unicorn in May

Mark Arends‘ multimedia show for young people Something Very Far Away is returning to the Unicorn Theatre in May following a UK tour.

The show, which premiered at the Unicorn last June, centres on an ordinary man who looks to the stars for answers after losing his wife in a tragic circus accident.
Grieving, he builds a spaceship so that he can travel into space and
look back on his happy memories on earth.

Told through projection, puppetry and music
with no words at all, the cast is Arends, Tim Lewis, Ben Whybrow and Ayve Leventis.

Something Very Far Away runs at the Unicorn from 21 May to 2 June 2013 after visiting Sherman Cymru, Cardiff (30 April-4 May), Imaginate Festival, Edinburgh (6-9 May), The North Wall, Oxford (11 May) and The egg, Bath (17-18 May).
