Sadie Frost is Touched again at Soho, 24 May

Sadie Frost will return to the London stage with a limited three-week run of Touched … Like a Virgin at the Soho Theatre in which she will reprise her role as a Madonna-obsessed woman.

Zoe Lewis’ follow up one-woman play will open at the Soho Theatre Downstairs on 24 May (previews from 22 May) and run until 9 June 2012.

In 1984 Lesley, an ordinary lass from Manchester is ‘Touched for the very first time’ by Madonna. Thus begins a lifelong love affair until the world’s biggest pop star gets married and ditches the pointy bra in favour of twinsets and pearls.

Lesley feels betrayed and the clock is ticking. What if, when you are ready to settle down, you find you’ve left it too late?

Lewis’ play is billed as a “a gut-wrenching look at the thirty-something dilemma” and will include “pop classics, IVF and tears” in a “riotously funny and wry look at modern womanhood.”

The play completes Lesley’s journey from a 14 year old virgin in Touched … For The Very First Time which ran at Trafalgar Studios in 2009 in which Frost also starred.

Touched … Like a Virgin is directed by James Phillips whose recent stage credits include Rubenstein Kiss at Hampstead Theatre and Frankie and Johnny at the Claire de Lune at the Sound Theatre, Leicester Square.

Frost made her theatre debut in Nicholas Hytner’s Mumbo Jumbo at the Royal Exchange, Manchester. Her other stage roles include Richard III at the Riverside Studios. On screen she has appeared in Dracula, Shopping, An Ideal Husband and Love, Honour and Obey.
