Pop Star Jessie J Pens West End Musical???

A few weeks ago on Whatsonstage.com, we revealed pop star Jessie J’s theatrical roots (she made her professional debut as an 11-year-old in Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s Whistle Down the Wind). Well now it appears the chart-topper is set to return to the world of musical theatre by penning her own show. The Brit Award winner told the News of the World, “I’m already in talks to write a musical. It’s important to dream big – you’ve got to try it to see if it can happen.” The show will apparently be based on the songs from her debut album Who You Are, which spawned hits including “Do It Like A Dude” and “Price Tag”. She added, “I want to take what my album’s done and take that spirit on stage, the spirit of my songs … It’s about teaming my love of music with my love of musical theatre.”
