In this extended version - the first of an “Old, New, Borrowed, Blue” concert series – Riding and Crewes will sing numbers from Merrily We Roll Along, Guys and Dolls, Wicked, City of Angels, The Witches of Eastwick, Carousel, My Fair Lady, Me & My Girl, Songs for a New World, The Last Five Years, Parade and other shows, under the musical direction of Douglas Whyte.
A two-time Olivier Award winner, Riding’s many musical credits include The Witches of Eastwick, My Fair Lady, Carousel, Guys and Dolls, Martin Guerre, Me & My Girl and A Little Night Music. She’s currently appearing at the West End’s Savoy Theatre in Noel Coward’s comedy, Blithe Spirit and is due to take over from Maria Friedman in The Woman in White this summer (See The Goss, 2 Mar 2005).
Crewes is currently starring opposite Friedman in The Woman in White. He’s previously been seen on stage in Les Miserables, Pal Joey, Oh What A Night and South Pacific. Tickets for the New Players concert are priced £22 and £29.
