By • West End
More names are trickling in for the much-anticipated stage version of movie musical Mary Poppins, which comes to the West End’s Prince Edward Theatre in December 2004, after a regional stint at the Bristol Hippodrome. While previous rumours tipped Alan Cummings as Bert, according to the Daily Mail, Gavin Lee will take the part of the Cockney chimneysweep played by Dick Van Dyke in the Disney film, while others in the cast will include David Haig, Rosemary Ashe and Jenny Galloway. My Fair Lady’s Laura Michelle Kelly has already been confirmed for the title role (See News, 28 Jan 2004).
