Oscar nominated Jude Law is reported to have pulled out of a remake of the 1939 film Four Feathers (about a British officer who resigns before battle and is given four white feathers by his friends and fiancee as symbols of cowardice), in an argument over pay. Paramount and Miramax are understood to have had conversations with Billy Crudup as a possible replacement. The only project Law has in the pipeline is The Good Shepherd, directed by Robert De Niro, and due to begin shooting in early 2001.
