As hundreds of Hollywood stars crammed into the Royal Opera House for the annual BAFTA awards on Sunday, another megastar, John Travolta, was just around the corner at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane with the stage to himself. Here's the best bits:
1. The mini-Travoltas take their seat for the show.
2. A cheeky fan seizes the opportunity to get hold of the star.
A man asked Travolta to teach his wife to dance, of course he said yes.
3. More people got dance lessons.
Is that Minnie Driver?
4. His two sisters came up on stage.
The actor explained how his two sisters, who are also actors, were his main inspiration for getting into acting. He had flown them over in his own jet and sat them in the Royal Box.
5. There was cake.
Travolta was presented with a cake for his 60th birthday by co-producers Rocco Buonvino and Joe Ricotta. He also received an award for entry into the gallery of greats who have performed at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, this was presented by Really Useful Group managing director Bishu Chakraborty.
6. Some more dancing...
He just couldn't get enough of dancing with everyone, and he still has the moves
7. "I want to sleep with the whole audience''
Travolta told the audience he wanted to sleep with them all and when asked why he had seven airplanes, he replied it was so that he could fly everyone back to his house in LA.
8. "I'd love to do more musicals"
The star admitted he would love to be in another musical if the right part came up. When quizzed by Norman about "doing a part in drag" he replied " I wasn't in drag, I played a woman!"
We also have news of two more Hollywood greats heading to the West End for their "An evening with" events. Stay tuned for more information.
