All Tickets Sold Out for 2011 WOS Awards Concert

It’s still more than two weeks to go, but all public tickets for our 2011 Whatsonstage.com Awards Concert are now completely sold out. The Concert – co-hosted this year but the unmissable triumvirate of Sheridan Smith, Christopher Biggins and “Queen of Comedy” Miranda Hart – takes place on Sunday 20 February 2011 at the West End’s 1200-seat Prince of Wales Theatre.
Though 2011 marks the 11th year of the Awards themselves, it is only the fourth year of the Awards Concert. While the event has sold out every year since its inception, advance demand this year is unprecedented, with over half of the public capacity having sold before any line-up details were announced.

Once our nominees guest list is finalised, we are hoping to release a handful of top-price £47.50 reserve tickets on Friday 18 February. If you’d like to be alerted as soon as these are put on sale, please CLICK HERE to join the waiting list!

The 2011 Concert is held in aid of this year’s adopted charity, The Theatrical Guild, which was founded by actors to provide financial and other support to front of house and backstage staff in times of need.

  • Best Supporting Actress in a Musical nominee Jill Halfpenny also showing another side to her personality as she “moves on” from Legally Blonde
  • Best Supporting Actor in a Musical nominee Michael Xavier performing alongside his current Love Story co-star Emma Williams

  • a sneak-peek of another forthcoming West End musical, Kneehigh’s new version of Michel Legrand The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, featuring cabaret legend Meow-Meow
  • additional show extracts from OperaUpClose’s record-breaking modern version of La Boheme (Rhian Lois, Laurence Meikle and Martin Nelson), nominated for Best Off-West End Production and now returned for another sell-out season at Soho Theatre; and Brits-abroad comedy and Best New Musical nominee Departure Lounge (Steven Webb, Jack Shalloo, Liam Tamne and Coronation Street heartthrob Chris Fountain)
  • performances by other West End stars including Annalene Beechey, Rosemary Ashe, Madalena Alberto, Hannah Levane and Jodie Jacobs, accompanied by the West End Gospel Choir and dancers from Arts Ed
