Following the success of the 2001 event, the Lyric Hammersmith is mounting another two-month season of arts and entertainment aimed at children. "The Catch" season of productions from around the globe kicks off tomorrow, 15 February, and continues until 13 April 2002 at the west London theatre.

Highlights of the theatrical schedule include a production of Beauty and the Beast from the Italian group Teatro Kismet Opera; the quirkily surreal Very Yellow by Yolanda Snaith Theatredance; The Lost and Moated Land by Theatre-rites; Agnes Limbos' Short Stories; an adaptation of Oscar Wilde's tale Spring and the Selfish Giant by the Scottish Wee Stories; and from Belgium, Peer by Laika, the company whose A Lady in the Cupboard met with audience acclaim at The Catch last year.

The 2002 Catch programme features productions and activities for children of all ages from six months and up, with most shows costing only £7 (£5 for concessions). There are also a variety of free events throughout the season.
