The Donmar Warehouse won’t be the only place in London to see a new play by American dramatist Neil LaBute this summer. In fact, the Donmar’s world premiere of LaBute’s This Is How It Goes, which will run from 31 May to 9 July 2005, may well be pipped at the post by the world premiere of another LaBute play, Some Girls…. Speaking exclusively to Whatsonstage.com as part of our Producers interview series (See This Week’s Features), Clare Lawrence from Out of the Blue says the company’s next production, due to be announced soon, will be LaBute’s Some Girls…. Another big Hollywood name is being lined up to take the male lead opposite four females in the new play whose full working title was in fact Some Girls Who I Fucked Over. Out of the Blue has already succeeded in luring a host of Hollywood talent – including Jake Gyllenhaal, Matt Damon, Anna Paquin, Julia Stiles, Aaron Eckhart and Joshua Jackson – to make their West End stage debuts in its productions of This Is Our Youth, Oleanna and, about to open at the Apollo Theatre, A Life in the Theatre.
