Bristol Old Vic artistic director Tom Morris explains just how bleak the funding situation is outside the capital

Bristol Old Vic's artistic director Tom Morris has responded to Rebalancing Our Cultural Capital, the report released this week commenting on the public funding of Arts and Culture in England, which highlights a 'bias' towards London. Last year's figures, combining taxpayers' and lottery players' funds distributed by Arts Council England show benefit to London of £86 per person against £8 per person in the rest of England.
