WOS TV: All Your Award Winners' Speeches Uncut

Date: 18 February 2009

Some of you just can’t get enough of coverage of our ninth annual Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers' Choice Awards, can you? So by popular demand, we’re producing more “rough cut” footage from the star-studded Awards Concert at the West End's Prince of Wales Theatre on Sunday night.

This was the second year running that the Concert, once again hosted by James Corden and Sheridan Smith, has been held to celebrate the award winners, and it proved a resounding, sell-out success, capping a year which has seen a record-breaking number of votes – over 35,000 in total (See News, 15 February 2009).

The extended video below shows all of the on-stage acceptance speeches, including Eddie Izzard, Ray Davies, Bob Gaudio, Michael Grandage, Gregory Doran, Tom Hiddleston, Tracie Bennett, Ryan Molloy, Katy Stephens, Stephen Ashfield, Sofia Escobar and, most hilariously, Avenue Q Kate Monster’s pitch-perfect Kate Winslet spoof.
