WOS TV: Exclusive Footage, Honour Opening Night

Date: 15 February 2006

Valentine's Day saw the opening of Joanna Murray-Smith’s Honour at the West End's Wyndham's Theatre and Whatsonstage.com was on hand last night (14 February 2006) to interview the cast and theatregoers after the show.

In Honour, Dame Diana Rigg plays Honor (sic), who for the past 32 years has been married to George (Martin Jarvis). A prominent journalist, George is to feature in a book on the Movers and Shakers, but when the beguiling young Claudia (The Truman Show’s Natascha McElhone) arrives to pen his profile, he's unsettled to have his own interview techniques - and a few other tricks - turned on him. When George leaves Honor for Claudia, their lives – including that of the couple’s insecure twentysomething daughter Sophie (Georgina Rich, making her West End debut) – are thrown into turmoil.

To see what happened at last night’s opening – including our interviews with cast members, director and author as well as celebrities including Rula Lenska, Laura Michelle Kelly and other audience members - just click on the "play" arrow button above.

Honour was first seen in London in a National Theatre production, starring Eileen Atkins, Corin Redgrave, Catherine McCormack and Anna Maxwell Martin. This West End premiere is directed by David Grindley and designed by Liz Ascroft with lighting by Jason Taylor. Its limited season continues until 6 May 2006.
