Synopsis

Starring Olivier and Whatsonstage.com Award winner Zoe Wanamaker, Passion Play makes a welcome return to the West End's Duke of York's Theatre.

Directed by David Leveaux, the play will open on 7 May (previews from 1 May) for a limited run to 3 August, following a short regional tour to Richmond Theatre and the Theatre Royal Brighton.

The play, which won the Evening Standard Award for Best Play, focuses on the collapse of a 25-year marriage, as the husband agrees to a secret rendezvous with their recently widowed friend. As the lies mount up, the affair strips the marriage bare and reveals the illicit desires and hidden passions that lie beneath the everyday facade.
